A plain that spreads across the northwestern part of the base of the Noto Peninsula in Ishikawa Prefecture. It is sandwiched between the Hodatsu Hills to the southeast and the Mayujo Mountains to the northwest, and forms a rift valley that stretches from Hakui City in the southwest to Nanao City in the northeast, with a maximum width of about 4 km and a length of about 30 km. Ochigata Lagoon in the south was shrunk by reclamation work that began before World War II, leaving a water surface of about 1 km2 . It is a typical rice-growing region in Noto. The JR Nanao Line and Nanao Kaido (National Route 159) run through the center of the plain.
