Rajagriha. The capital of the ancient Indian kingdom of Magadha. Rajgir in the southern part of the state of Bihar is the site of this city. It is a capital city closely related to the Buddha, and Vulture Peak, located to the east of Rajagriha, and the Bamboo Grove Monastery on the outskirts are known as places where the Buddha lived for a long time, received offerings from the king, and educated the people. It was the capital city where King Bimbasara, King Ajatashatru, and Queen Vidheki, known in the scriptures, lived.
