Wangjian City - Wangjian City

Japanese: 王倹城 - おうけんじょう
Wangjian City - Wangjian City

...the name of an ancient Korean dynasty. One of the so-called ancient Koreas. The northwestern part of the Korean peninsula has had exchanges with China since ancient times, and seems to have been deeply influenced in all aspects of politics, economy, and culture. According to the Records of the Grand Historian, in 195 BC (the 12th year of the reign of Emperor Gaozu of Han), when Yan King Lu Wan rebelled against the Han, his general Wei Man led over 1,000 of his subordinates across the Baisui River (there are various theories about its location) and headed for North Korea, where he was trusted by Jin Jun (also written as Huai), the last king of the Korean state, and was given an official position and a fief.

From Pyongyang

...In terms of maritime transportation, Nampo, downstream of the Taedong River, serves as Pyongyang's outer port.
[history]
Wanggeomseong, the capital of the ancient Korean state that is connected to Gojoseon, that is, Dangun Joseon, which appears in the founding myth, Gisi Joseon, which also remains a legend, and Wiman Joseon, which ruled the Liaohe region of China and North Korea for about 90 years in the 2nd century B.C., is believed to have been located near Pyongyang.
