...It is located on the Kitashirakawa alluvial fan, one of the composite alluvial fans formed on the southwestern foot of Mt. Hiei in the northeastern part of the Kyoto Basin. From the northeast, it is divided into the Kitashirakawa Kamihatecho ruins, the Kitashirakawa Betsutocho and Oguracho ruins, the Kitashirakawa Oiwakecho ruins, and the Yoshidayama Seiroku ruins. About 1.5km to the north, there are ruins from the Early to Late Jomon period on the alluvial fans at Ichijoji and Shugakuin, and also 1.5km to the south is the Okazaki ruins from the Jomon to Kofun period. ...
