Birth - Ikiizu
〘Self-Da-Ni〙① (Someone thought to be dead) comes back to life. To breathe again. *The Bamboo Cutter (late 9th century - early 10th century) "His eyes were all white and he was dilated. People poured scoops of water into him and offered him. He then suddenly breathed out." ② To feel comfortable. To return to one's senses after having been carried away by an ecstatic feeling. *Genji (c. 1001-14) Tamakazura "As I approached a place called the river's edge, I felt as if I had been breathing out a little." [Additional note] There is also a theory that ① can be interpreted as "to breathe out."

Oi-i zuohi zu [birth]
