O associations, consisting of stars with O and B spectral types, are stars that are born from the dense interstellar medium at the center and are diffusing into the surroundings at a speed of about 10 km per second. O associations can be found far away because of the bright absolute luminosity of O and B type stars, so they are known to be distributed along the spiral arms of the Milky Way, and have also been observed in the Large and Small Magellanic Clouds and the Andromeda Galaxy. …
