Hebei [Province] - Kahoku

A province in northern China. Facing the Bohai Bay, it is the birthplace of Chinese culture and is also a central region historically. Its abbreviated name is Ji. Its capital is Shijiazhuang. It is surrounded by mountains to the north and west, and the eastern part is an alluvial loess plain. It is well-developed in terms of transportation, with railways connecting Beijing and Tianjin, including Beijing-Kowloon (Beijing-Kowloon), Beijing-Guangzhou (Beijing-Guangzhou), Jingbao (Beijing-Baotou), and Jinghu (Beijing-Shanghai), and its road network and water transport are also well developed. It produces wheat, soybeans, sorghum, cotton, peanuts, and fruit, and industrial salt is produced on the coast. It also has large reserves of coal and iron ore, and industries such as steel, glass, spinning, ceramics, and leather are carried out. It has an area of 187,700 ^km2 . Its population is 74.17 million (2014). However, this does not include the area and population of the two cities of Beijing and Tianjin, which are directly administered by the central government.
