A corporate bond with a stock purchase right attached. The document that grants the stock purchase right is called a warrant, so it is also called a warrant bond. Stock purchase right is the right to purchase a certain number of shares of the company that issued the bond at a certain price within a certain period (sometimes there is no specified period). One type of bond with stock purchase right is a bond with pre-emptive warrants. This is a corporate bond that is granted the right to request the company to issue a certain number or amount of new shares within a certain period within the bond's maturity date.

社債に株式買取権が付与されたもの。株式買取権を与える証書を〈ワラントwarrant〉というのでワラント社債ともいう。株式買取権とは，一定の期間(期間の定めがないこともある)内に，一定価格で一定数量の社債発行会社の株式を買い取ることができる権利である。　株式買取権付社債の一つに新株引受権付社債がある。これは，社債の償還期限内の一定の期間に一定の数または額の新株の発行を会社に対して請求することができる権利が付与された社債である。
