Ephyra subclass - Ephyra acqua

...life cycle is complex, with some species reproducing sexually and asexually in one generation (alternation of generations), and others reproducing only in medusa-forms. They are divided into the subclass Scyphostomidae and the subclass Ephyridae. The subclass Scyphostomidae contains only medusa-forms, does not have alternation of generations, and includes the orders Stauromedusae and Cubomedusae.
