Japanese: エフィジー・マウンド - えふぃじーまうんど
Effigy Mound - Effigy Mound

...This culture developed in the eastern forest region after the Archaic culture, and practiced agriculture, mainly using corn, which is thought to have been introduced from Mesoamerica. Burial mounds (effigy mounds) and earthworks in the shape of snakes and birds have also been found. In addition to human bones, the mounds contain grave goods such as coats of arms and figures made of native copper and mica, stone pipes representing birds and animals, clay figurines, clay tablets, and various ornaments, suggesting the development of an advanced religious ritual system.
