Epipsychidion

Japanese: 《エピサイキディオン》 - えぴさいきでぃおん
Epipsychidion

…Queen Mab (1813) is an allegorical poem of social reform, and its meaning continues in The Revolt of Islam (1818), and reaches its climax in Prometheus Unbound (1820), which rebels against authority and liberates humanity through love, and then in Cenci (1819), which is a tragedy in which the protagonist deforms and fights against his father's tyranny. On the other hand, as a work pursuing ideal beauty, Alastor (1816) seeks the existence of love and fails, but in Epipsychidion (1821), it is sublimated into a philosophical poem in which the vision of love and the spirit and body are united. Other works include the elegant and delicate lyric short poem The Song of the Skylark, which also appears in Natsume Soseki's Kusamakura, and The Song of the West Wind, which was the model for Shimazaki Toson's Song of the Autumn Wind, and the closing line of the poem, "If winter comes, spring is not far away," is famous.
