Edo-mawashi
〘 noun 〙 The act of sending cargo by ship from Osaka to Edo. Also, the ship in question. ※Ukiyo-zoshi, Seken Munesanyo (1692), vol. 5 "The oil of the Edo mahashi, born of nature and the atmosphere, is not to be found even in the coldest of winters."
