Ediacara Hills

…the Ediacara fauna is found in the Ediacara Hills, about 500 km north of Adelaide in South Australia. In 1947, RC Sprigg discovered jellyfish fossils in the Pound Cay rock formation there. Since then, more than 1,400 metazoan fossils have been collected, and the Ediacara fauna was named by MF Glessner and others.
