HLSP method - ECH ESP method

...This is called the valence bond method, abbreviated as the VB method. This theory was later extended to polyatomic molecules by John Clarke Slater (1900-76) and LC Pauling, so it is also called the HLSP method, an acronym of their names. In this theory, the valence electrons in a molecule are considered to be close to belonging to atomic orbitals specific to each atom, so this theory is also called the atomic orbital method, or AO method for short. ...
