Unryu paper

Paper made with long fibers of hand-torn kozo (paper mulberry) scattered on the jigami (*1) to create a cloud-like pattern is called Unryu paper. It is also called Taitenshi or Striated paper. Paper made with colored fibers is called Iro Unryu paper, and paper made with several types of colored fibers is called Multicolor Unryu paper. Source: Synergy Marketing Co., Ltd. 手でちぎった楮〔こうぞ〕の長い繊維を地紙(※1)に散らせて雲のような模様をあらわしている紙を、雲竜紙と呼びます。大典紙〔たいてんし〕、筋入り紙とも呼ばれてます。着色した繊維を用いるものを色雲竜紙、数種類の着色繊維を用いるものを多色雲竜紙といいます。
