RMC - RMC

Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) is an abbreviation for Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC). It is located between the World Meteorological Centre (WMC) and the National Meteorological Centre (NMC), and provides analysis and forecast data for hemispheres or regions to other RMCs and NMCs. In the late 1980s, the RMC strengthened its activities by integrating the functions of several RMCs into one and adding special service operations to its traditional missions, becoming a Regional Special Meteorological Centre (RSMC).

地域気象中枢Regional Meteorological Centreの略称。世界気象中枢（WMC）と国家気象中枢（NMC）の間にあり、半球ないし地域的領域の解析値や予報値を他のRMCやNMCに提供してきたが、1980年代後半に活動強化が図られ、いくつかのRMCの機能を一つに統合したり、従来の任務に加えて特別なサービス業務を付加したりすることによって地域特別気象中枢（RSMC）となっている。
