Uchidehama - Uchidehama

An old place name near Matsumoto-cho, Otsu City, Shiga Prefecture. It is also called "Uchiide no Hama." Currently, it is a reclaimed land on the shore of Lake Biwa. It was once a scenic spot that was written about in poems and other works. In "The Pillow Book," it is written that "the beach is Uchidehama," and in "The Tale of Yamato," there is an article that says that Emperor Uda established a temporary residence on this beach when he made a pilgrimage to Ishiyama. The poem "I came out of Uchidehama in Omi and my resentment was put to rest" (by an unknown author) in "The Collection of Collected Works" is particularly famous.

滋賀県大津市松本町付近の古地名。「うちいでのはま」ともいう。現在は琵琶(びわ)湖岸の埋立て造成地となっている。かつては歌などに詠まれた景勝の地で『枕草子(まくらのそうし)』に「浜は打出浜」とあり、『大和(やまと)物語』には宇多(うだ)天皇の石山詣(もう)での際、この浜に行在所(あんざいしょ)を設けたという記事がある。『拾遺集(しゅういしゅう)』の「近江(おうみ)なる打出浜のうち出でて恨みやせまし人の心を」（読人しらず）の歌はことに著名。
