The units of measurement are 1/10 tsubo (go) and 1/10 go (shaku). Usually, bu is used to express the area of ​​fields and forests, and tsubo is used to express the size of houses and land. The units of measurement are the same as bu, but are not used often. The size differed depending on the occupation; for example, tsubo was 1 sun square for brocade, 1 shaku square for leather, and 4 shaku square for cemetery.
