Year of birth: 1435
A military commander in the Muromachi period. Kanto Kanrei. Son of Norizane and younger brother of Noritada. Childhood name: Ryuharu. Hyobu Shoyu. When his father Norizane forced his other brothers to become monks, he was the only one ordered to remain in secular life and stay in Kyoto, and was given his land. Later, his older brother Noritada, who had returned to secular life, was assassinated by the Kamakura kubo Ashikaga Shigeuji in 1454, and full-scale fighting broke out between the kubo and the Uesugi clan. In the following year, 1455, he was asked by Nagao Kagenaka and others to become a general on the Uesugi side, and was also appointed Kanto Kanrei. He then faced Shigeuji's side from his base in Musashi Isoko, but he died in the camp at Isoko without being able to turn the tide of battle in his favor.
