A telephone service that uses Internet lines, converting voice into digital signals and transmitting them over the Internet. The advantage is that you can make calls for free or at a low cost, regardless of the distance of the other party. It works in the same way as IP telephones, but the difference is that IP telephones use a dedicated network called an IP network, whereas Internet telephones use the same Internet as email and web services. As a result, when the network is overloaded, the sound quality may deteriorate or the call may be interrupted.
