This area is located in the southeastern part of Toyama Prefecture, at the mouth of the Jōganji River. It belongs to Tateyama Town. There is a shrine altar in front of Oyama Shrine, which enshrines the god of Tateyama. Together with Ashikura Temple upstream of the Jōganji River, it flourished as a center of Tateyama worship. 富山県南東部,常願寺川の谷口にある地区。立山町に属する。立山の神を祭る雄山 (おやま) 神社の前立社壇がある。常願寺川上流の芦峅 (あしくら) 寺とともに立山信仰の中心地として栄えた。現在は稲作農業を主としている。
