〘 noun 〙 A townhouse, a residence where the master always lives. Also, the upper residence of a feudal lord. [Toji Yuri Documents - 1323, November 20th, a draft of the deeds of Yukiyoshi] ※Nanbanji Monogatari (around 1638) "I kept my mother in this residence."
