Ymir - Ymir

As a result of the division of the land among Genghis Khan's sons, Ogedei came to rule the area south of the Tarbagatai Mountains, the basin of the Ymir River flowing into Lake Ala-Kul, and the surrounding steppes. He built a city called Ymir on the banks of the Ymir River and made it the capital of the Khanate. After Ogedei and his son Guyuk became Khans of the empire in succession, Mongke of the Tury family gained power, executed many members of the Ogedei family for treason, confiscated their armies, and gave some of them land within the Ogedei family's territory and allowed them to keep their own armies.
