...A cystoscope is used to observe the inside of the bladder and make a diagnosis. Other types include ureteral cystoscopes for retrograde ureteral catheters, surgical cystoscopes for surgery, lithotripsy cystoscopes for bladder lithotripsy, and foreign body removal cystoscopes for removing foreign bodies. As the urethral diameter differs depending on age, there are also pediatric cystoscopes and adolescent cystoscopes.
