Shaving one side of the head - Katabinzori

Japanese: 片鬢剃 - かたびんぞり
Shaving one side of the head - Katabinzori
A type of corporal punishment in which one side of the head is shaved, which was approved after the Kamakura Shogunate Law. In the "Ruijū Sandai Kaku" from the year 866, a punishment called "kon" appears, which is thought to be the predecessor of this punishment. In the "Goseibai Shikimoku," it is imposed as a punishment below that of a servant for crimes such as catching and assaulting a woman on the road.
