The first ruler of Kerman, Iraq, during the Buyid dynasty (reigned Iraq 945-967, Kerman 936-949). He was the youngest of the three Dayramite brothers who founded the dynasty. His real name was Ahmad. Muizz ad-Dawla was a title bestowed on him by the Abbasid caliph in 946, meaning "strengthener of the dynasty." From then on, he held the position of Grand Amir (Amir al-Umarā) for the rest of his life. Among his achievements were the establishment of ruling power by organizing a slave army, the implementation of the military iqta system, and the development of court culture by protecting literati.

ブワイフ朝のイラク，ケルマーンを支配した最初の君主(在位，イラク945‐967，ケルマーン936‐949)。同朝を創設したダイラム人の3兄弟の末弟にあたる。本名はアフマド。ムイッズ･アッダウラとは，946年にアッバース朝カリフから授与された称号で，〈王朝の強化者〉の意。以後，彼は生涯大アミール(アミール･アルウマラー)の地位にあった。業績としては，奴隷軍の整備による支配権力の確立，軍事イクター制の施行，文人の保護による宮廷文化の発展などが挙げられる。
