Japanese: 伊藤伊兵衛 - いとういへえ

A gardener in the Edo period. His family has been engaged in gardening for several generations in Someimura (present-day Komagome, Toshima Ward), north of Edo. The family had excellent knowledge and skills in landscaping and floriculture, and left behind many works illustrating and describing the types of horticultural plants that were popular at the time. These include Kinshu Makura, Kadan Jikinsho, Kusabana E Zenshu, Supplementary Jikinsho, Hiroeki Jikinsho, and Jikinsho Supplement, and were published between 1695 (Genroku 8) and 1733 (Kyoho 18), by the father and son Sannojo Ihei, the third generation, and Ihei Masatake, the fourth generation.

江戸時代の植木屋。江戸の北，染井村（現，豊島区駒込）で，数代にわたって園芸をいとなむ。一家は造園，花卉(かき)栽培についての見識技量にすぐれ，当時流行した園芸植物の種類を図説記載した多くの著作を残した。《錦繍枕》《花壇地錦抄》《草花絵前集》《増補地錦抄》《広益地錦抄》《地錦抄付録》等があり，その刊行は1695年（元禄８年）から1733年（享保18年）にわたるが，３代三之丞伊兵衛，４代伊兵衛政武の父子による。
