Family Policy - Family Production

Japanese: 家族政策 - かぞくせいさく

It refers to the totality of measures that the state takes to influence family formation in order to improve the economic and social situation of families. Family policy has a comprehensive character with family issues at its core, and its scope is so broad that it is difficult to systematize it. The term family policy (Familienpolitik) was already used in Germany as early as 1918 in connection with population policy. Since the 1960s, it has been given importance in both research and policy in European countries, mainly West Germany, but no country has yet completed systematization of it.

家族の経済的ならびに社会的な状況の改善のために，国家が家族の形成に影響を及ぼす諸措置の総体をさす。家族政策は，家族問題を中心の核とした総合的性格をもち，その範囲も広範にわたるのでその体系化は難しい。家族政策Familienpolitikという言葉は，ドイツではすでに早く1918年ごろから人口政策とのかかわりで用いられた。60年代以降は，西ドイツを中心としたヨーロッパ諸国で，研究上も政策上も重視されてきているものの，いまだに，どの国でもその体系化は完成していない。
