Heteromorphs - Itairui

A synonym of the order Pleuronectiformes, it includes all species with asymmetrical bodies and both eyes on one side of the body. It is made up of the suborder Pleuronectiformes and the suborder Pleuronectiformes. The suborder Pleuronectiformes is characterized by the fact that some individuals of the same species have both eyes on the right side of the body and some on the left, that the anterior ray of the dorsal fin is a spine, and that the dorsal fin starts at the back of the head, and it only includes the family Pleuronectidae. The suborder Pleuronectiformes is characterized by both eyes on one side of the body depending on the species, that the dorsal fin has no spines, and that the dorsal fin starts at the front of the head, and it includes three families: Pleuronectoid, Pleuronectoid, and Pleuronectoid. The superfamily Pleuronectoidea includes only the family Pleuronectidae, the superfamily Pleuronectoidea includes four families, namely Pleuronectidae, Pleuronectidae, Pleuronectidae, and Scophthalmidae, and the superfamily Pleuronectoidea includes eight families, namely Pleuronectidae, Pleuronectidae, Pleuronectidae, and Pleuronectidae. In 2006, the Canadian ichthyologist Joseph S. Nelson (1937-2011) revised the classification system, and the subfamily Pleuronectidae and Pleuronectidae, which were previously classified as Pleuronectidae, were promoted to families and moved to the superfamily Pleuronectoidea.
