The most notable feature of Canadian cinema is that, while it has almost no history of feature films, it is the world's most active producer of documentaries. The history of Canadian documentaries began in 1900 when the Canadian Pacific Railway Company established a film division and began making tourist films about Canada (the 1965 short film "Keaton's Trackman," starring Buster Keaton, is a parody of one of those tourist films).
