…The taxation of medical insurance fees for social insurance has long been called an example of an unfair tax system, but this is because it legally sets a uniform 72% rate for the amount of medical benefits and other expenses of social insurance doctors to be included as necessary expenses or losses. Since its enactment in 1954, there have been calls for its correction as a tax system that favors doctors, but it was not until 1979 that it was improved by introducing different rates according to the amount of income, from 72% applied to amounts under 25 million yen to 52% applied to amounts over 50 million yen. As of 1997, amounts over 50 million yen are taxed at the actual amount, and are calculated at a rate of 57 to 72% depending on the amount of remuneration. …
