〘Noun〙 (also "Ikeda sake") Sake made in Ikeda, Settsu Province (Ikeda City, Osaka Prefecture). During the Edo period, it was known for its high quality and was praised as good as Itami sake. ※Records of sake brewing during the Tenmei and Kansei periods (1793) "The number of barrels of Ikeda sake entered into the Tsutaya district and was reported to the Kano Kawachi no Kami government office by Edo wholesalers."
