A city in Magnesia, ancient Greece. Located on the north shore of the Gulf of Pagasai, it was the residence of Jason in mythology and the departure point of the Argo voyages. It flourished during the Mycenaean period, but declined after the Greeks moved south. The city is now the city of Volos.
