Bhoja (reigned c. 1018-c. 55), who lived in the first half of the 11th century, is famous for being a patron of the arts and literature, but at the end of his reign he was defeated by the combined forces of the Kalachuri dynasty of the northeast and the Chaulukya dynasty of Ogujarat in the west, and died. The dynasty was later restored and maintained its territory while being subordinate to the Chalukya dynasty of the Deccan and then the Chaulukya dynasty of Gujarat, but was destroyed by the Khalji dynasty of Delhi in 1305. *Some of the terminology that mentions "Bhoja" is listed below.
