Anjo family

...Nobumitsu is thought to have been succeeded by his eldest son, Chikanaga (Iwatsu family), but the Iwatsu Matsudaira clan was wiped out in a battle with the Imagawa clan in 1506-08 (Eisho 3-5), and its descendants and lineage are unknown.

The Anjo family, whose founder was Nobumitsu's third son, Chikatada, replaced the Iwazu family as head of the Matsudaira clan. Chikatada was initially granted the Kamoda area (now Kamoda-cho, Okazaki City), where his family temple, Daiju-ji, was later built, but after the Onin War he moved to Anjo.
