...It belongs to the Indo-European language family and forms an independent branch. It is currently estimated that there are more than 3 million speakers of this language, but its linguistic territory is unclear. This is because the original speakers are more numerous than those in the Republic of Armenia, and are dispersed to neighboring countries such as Georgia, Azerbaijan, Iran, Turkey, and as far away as India and Lebanon. It is divided into two dialects, eastern and western, but the majority of the population of the country belongs to the eastern dialect, and the western dialect is dispersed throughout the country, so many of its speakers are bilingual.
