The word "Arab" itself does not appear in the Quran, but the word "arabi" appears, which is a common language used by North and South Arabs, sedentary peoples and nomads, as opposed to the foreign word "ajamī", and Muhammad was the first person to express the idea of ​​the Arabs as a single people through the medium of language. In addition to "arabi", the Quran also contains the word "ārab", which is derived from the same root and means nomads as opposed to sedentary peoples. The Arabs, who were given a national identity by Islam, carried out large-scale conquests under the leadership of the caliphs after the death of Muhammad, building a great empire and becoming its ruling group.
