Jodogaura

This coast is located in the northeast of Dogo, Oki Islands, in northern Shimane Prefecture. It belongs to Okinoshima Town, Oki District, and is also called Fuse Coast. Stretching for about one kilometer, rhyolite, andesite, and sedimentary rocks are mixed together, and it shows columnar joints and unique eroded topography centered around Cape Sakiyama, making it a valuable piece of geological history. Scattered in front of it are hundreds of islands and reefs of various sizes, including Ohana Island and Daikoku Island, making for a magnificent landscape. It is within Daisen-Oki National Park, where there is also a marine park, and the Oki Fuse Coast has been designated as a national place of scenic beauty.

島根県北部、隠岐(おき)諸島島後(どうご)の北東部にある海岸。隠岐郡隠岐の島町に属し、布施海岸(ふせかいがん)ともいう。約1キロメートルにわたって流紋岩、安山岩、堆積(たいせき)岩が混在して、崎山岬を中心に柱状節理や特有の侵食地形を示しており、地質学上貴重なものとされている。前面には大鼻島、大黒(おおくろ)島など大小数百個の島々や岩礁が散在し、その景観は雄大である。大山(だいせん)隠岐国立公園域で、海域公園もあり、また隠岐布施海岸の名称で国の名勝に指定されている。
