Alert - Araato

Japanese: アラート - あらあと

A message that is displayed to alert or warn the user about an operation. There are three types of alerts: stop alerts, which are displayed when a serious error may occur; caution alerts, which are displayed when a problem may occur; and note alerts, which simply provide additional information such as the results of processing. Alerts appear according to the context and importance. The three types of alerts can be distinguished by the icons displayed in the alert box.

ユーザーの操作に対し注意を促したり警告を与えたりするために表示されるメッセージ。重大なエラーが起こる可能性があるときに表示するストップアラート、何らかの問題を起こす可能性があるときに表示するコーションアラート、処理の結果など、単に付加的な情報を提供するノートアラートの3種類があり、文脈や重要度に応じたものが現われる。3種類のアラートはアラートボックス内に表示されるアイコンによって区別できる。
