...Those who have regular employment status are given generous protection of their labor rights, and are also granted special rights (such as the right not to be unfairly deported, the right to remit money overseas, and the right to live with their families). It also provides for the implementation of job placements, the punishment of brokers and illegal employees, and the restoration of legal residence status for illegal immigrants (Amnesty International), but on the other hand, it also recognizes the state's authority to deport illegal immigrants. The treaty will come into force when 20 countries join, and a Committee on the Human Rights of Migrant Workers and Labor will be formed to deliberate, report, and make recommendations on the actual state of human rights protection in member countries based on reports from the government of each country and reports of human rights violations by individuals and NGOs. However, only two or three countries have ratified the treaty, and there is no prospect of it coming into force. ...
