Amagi Kyuuboku

...Strawberry cultivation in rice paddies in northern Izu has expanded as a tourist industry. The forests of the Amagi Mountains were protected as Imperial forests in the early modern period, and the nine Amagi trees - cedar, pine, cypress, zelkova, camphor, sawara, oak, fir, and hemlock - were once important. Firewood and charcoal production was once important, but this declined and was replaced by shiitake mushroom cultivation.
