Amaoto (sound of rain): A musical accompaniment that strikes a large drum with a long stick to express the sound of falling rain. To express it in a realistic way, amaguruma (rain wheel) is used, in which azuki beans are placed inside a wheel and turned around, uchiwa (rain fan) is used, in which soybeans or beads are tied to a fan, and amadoi (rain gutter) is used, in which azuki beans or sesame seeds are poured down. A musical accompaniment that strikes a large drum, a Noh flute, and a Noh flute is used for rough mie poses such as ittsugashira (five-headed) and kurumahiki (cartwheel)....
