African Impatiens

Japanese:
African Impatiens
A greenhouse perennial plant of the Balsaminaceae family native to tropical Africa. Its scientific name is Impatiens walleriana, and there are many horticultural varieties. It grows to about 30cm tall, branches well, and produces one to three flowers at the top. The flowers come in bright red, deep scarlet, white-pink, and other colors. The flowering time is variable, and if there is sufficient temperature, water, and light, they will bloom one after another. They can also be easily propagated by cuttings, and you can enjoy their delicate flowers all year round. They are suitable for potted plants and flower beds. In terms of horticulture, the most famous impatiens species are this one and the annual flower bed plant, Impatiens balsam, but in recent years, a hybrid variety originating from a species native to New Guinea, the New Guinea Impatiens (giant flowers, variegated leaves), has also been cultivated frequently.
