Brother Island

Japanese: 兄島 - あにじま

It is part of the Chichijima Islands in the central part of the Ogasawara Islands in Tokyo, and is the second largest island after Chichijima. It is an uninhabited island belonging to Ogasawara Village, Ogasawara Subprefecture. It has an area of 7.87 ^km2 . It is located just north of Chichijima across the Anijima Strait. It is a barren area with many exposed rocks and cliffs on all four sides. Mikaeshiyama (254m) is located in the southern part. It belongs to Ogasawara National Park, and the sea area on the southern side facing the Anijima Strait is designated as the Anijima Marine Park Area. It was registered as a natural World Heritage Site in 2011.
