Sodium Bromide - Sodium Chloride

NaBr (102.89). It is obtained by reacting an aqueous solution of sodium oxalate with bromine and concentrating it. Industrially, it is produced in the same way as potassium bromide. The dihydrate precipitates from the aqueous solution. The dihydrate is a colorless monoclinic crystal. Density 2.17 g cm ^-3 . It melts at 50.7 °C and dissolves in water of hydration. It becomes anhydrous when heated in a hydrogen stream. It is easily soluble in water and ethanol. The anhydrous form is a colorless cubic crystal. Rock salt structure. Lattice constant a = 0.5961 nm. Melting point 755 °C, boiling point 1390 °C. Density 3.20 g cm ^-3 . It is hygroscopic, easily soluble in water, and slightly soluble in ethanol. NaBr(102.89)．シュウ酸ナトリウム水溶液に臭素を作用させて濃縮すると得られる．工業的には，臭化カリウムと同様の方法でつくる．水溶液からは二水和物が析出する．二水和物は無色の単斜晶系結晶．密度2.17 g cm^－3．融点50.7 ℃ で水和水に溶ける．水素気流中で加熱脱水して無水物となる．水に易溶，エタノールに可溶．無水物は無色の等軸晶系結晶．岩塩型構造．格子定数a ＝ 0.5961 nm．融点755 ℃，沸点1390 ℃．密度3.20 g cm^－3．吸湿性で，水に易溶，エタノールに微溶．医薬品(鎮静剤)，臭化物の製造，写真用剤，人工海水成分などに用いられる．[CAS 7647-15-6:NaBr][CAS 13466-08-5:NaBr･2H₂O]
