… There are about 50 known Zoroastrian fire temples, most of which remain in the Fars region. Zoroastrian temples are basically two square buildings, one closed (Atash-kadeh) where the sacred fire is placed, and the other open (Chahar-tāq) where the sacred fire is displayed to the public. The main methods of architectural decoration are mosaic and stucco.
