ASEAN - Asean

Japanese: ASEAN（アセアン） - あせあん

ASEAN was established in August 1967 by five countries: Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand, as the first full-scale regional cooperation organization in Southeast Asia. Its abbreviation is ASEAN. The initial goal was to separate the Cold War from regional conflicts and promote social, economic, and cultural cooperation instead of mutual confrontation.
