Pillow - Azuchimakura
〘 noun 〙 A small, long, tied pillow placed on a trapezoid base similar to the shape of an adzuchi. It was often used by women in the early modern period. Box pillow. ※Sakehon Tama no Cho (around 1789-1801) 2 "Two adzuchi pillows are placed in the sleeves of Shimagunnai's nightgowns."
