The center of the Hokuseicho district of Inabe City in northern Mie Prefecture. Formerly Agaki Town. Located on the right bank of the upper reaches of the Inabe River, boats once sailed upriver from Kuwana here. Today, it is the commercial center of the region. National Route 306 runs through the area, and Agaki Station on the Hokusei Line of the Sangi Railway is located here. The station is also home to the Light Railway Museum. It preserves materials related to light railways throughout the country, including the Moni 226-type train (pictured), which once ran on the Hokusei Line, one of the few light railways in the country.
