Among them, the Three-spined Stickleback P. pungitius lives in the northern part of Honshu and northward, the Three-spined Stickleback P. sinensis (illustration) lives from Ishikawa Prefecture northward to Kamchatka and the eastern coast of the continent, the Three-spined Stickleback P. tymensis lives in Hokkaido, Sakhalin, and the northern part of the Korean Peninsula, and the Three-spined Stickleback P. sp. lives in the lower two prefectures of Saitama and Tochigi.
